Hello all forum!

there is any chance to get the RR2640x4 booting macosx? I bought this card and attached 2 sata HDD in raid 0, installed drivers on actual hdd and carbon-copy-cloned to the new array.

Anyone have experience with this card?

I wouldn't think so. :(

HighPoint's site lists BIOS boot capability. And when I checked, there isn't an EFI version of firmware on the Mac Support section.

It would boot in windows if you're so inclined. :)

Yeah, i see

I'll wait the answer from HPT support. This card run insanely fast both on sas and sata configuration. No boot support would result a great damage.

even the desing of the card would ask for a bootable feature (all internal hdds are routed to the card), and i cannot install any other hdd because of my dual optical drive...

Let's hope for a quick response

sorry for this late

I had some test and the card can boot windows easily. Seems the card need a bios input to spin disks.
Also on mac pro, on bios emulation, the card works like a charm.
I think we need to wait until HPT releases a firmware update that enable this feature to efi.
By now, no news from hpt:mad:
