The Retina-Macbook Base configuration has only got 256GB of system storage, as I do plan to run MacOS, Windows and Linux on a single portable device this storage will barely be enough. That's why I'm wondering if there is a possibility to boot up Windows or Linux throughout an external drive. If OSX does not offer that option I will need to install Windows as Main-OS while booting OSX and Linux trough my external drive... which I know should be possible. Maybe its not even a good idea to buy the Retina, as I don't think that Linux and Windows will offer a good experience as they both have only bad scaling options.

That's why I'm actually even thinking about cancelling my order to buy a classic 13inch Macbook-Pro, aside from its bad Screen it would offer me about the same portability (same weight and little bit less width, but thicker). With that machine I could swap out the Optical-Drive with another Hard drive or SSD in the end I would have about 800GB-1TB internal storage... which would actually be enough for all my Software and I could even store some Videos on the device itself. Anyway, the resolution of the 13inch Macbook is kind of absurd and I don't think I would be satisfied with it. It's kinda funny, I want to buy a Mac but I don't feel satisfied with any device that Apple is offering... In the end I may stick with a classic 15inch mac with Antiglare... but that thing is not tiny at all.
