Booting of Ex HDD

Hi everyone

I need to install Win 7 (solidworks:rolleyes:) on my MBP. Now I've stripped out my dvd-drive so can't boot from a dvd. I've extracted the image onto a external USB harddrive but can't manage to boot from it. The drive is formatted in NTFS.

How can I convince my laptop to boot from the ExHDD?
