Yes I know you cant boot a mac pro 5,1 from a usb3 pcie card .... but I was thinking .... If you installed a suitably written open core partition on an internal drive, couldn't that be used to activate the usb3/usbc pcie card in the slot so that an attached system was bootable ? just thinking
