Is it possible to boot Windows 7 off a USB HDD on a MacPro5,1?
I'm not talking about booting the installer off USB. I'm talking about booting a fully installed Windows 7 installation off a USB HDD, either through EFI directly (GPT formatted disk) or via the EFI CSM (MBR formatted disk) straight to the desktop.
I found this thread:
https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ively-via-efi-no-bios-emulation.696523/page-9
Which would seem to suggest that it might be possible, but I'm not sure since that seems to deal with systems that have some sort of built-in GPU and there isn't much mention of booting off USB.
Is this possible on the Mac Pro?
