Booting Windows from a USB drive

So I am trying to boot Windows 7 on my mac off a USB external drive because I have very little HDD space on my macbook. I have installed Windows onto a USB drive using this method. It will boot on two different custom pc's with no problem, but when I hold option down at start on my mac and select the USB drive it goes to a black screen and says "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key" Any ideas on how to fix this? I have a Macbook Pro 13" 2010 model.
