Hello,
I just wanted to clarify something before I continued with my Windows install. I want to install Windows 8.1 on an external HDD.
I have to install Windows on my internal HDD clone the Windows partition with a program (can I use SuperDuper or must I use Win Clone?) to the external drive. Then I delete the Windows partition from the internal drive.
I've read on the forum that you must use a Thunderbolt external drive or Windows won't boot is this true? I had planned to use a USB 3 dock station with a 2 x 2TB drives. I don't really want to scrub my Thunderbolt drive for Windows so would have to buy another if the USB drives won't work.
Thanks for your time.
Blue
