Bootloader: refind with Jetdrive 725

Hi,

My end goal is to install linux on a partition of my Macbook Pro (Model Identifier: 10,1)

I recently purchased the JetDrive 725 960gb in order to have more space.

I tried to install refind, but when i reboot it does not automatically go into the refind bootloader but loads instead straight into OSX.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no luck.

Also, as a note:
I had refind working properly before I changed from the stock SSD to the transcend ssd.

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: If there is anything that I should add, please let me know as well
