I purchase BL2 on Steam last year and just picked up Borderlands from the app store. This should normally unlock new heads and skins in BL2 but nothing is showing up. Is there some workaround to make BL2 recognize the Borderlands saves?

None, they're on completely different platforms ( Steam vs MAS ), and the two have no interaction as far as I know.

I know it works with the Borderlands disc version, but we havent checked with the App Store->Steam. I'll have Support run a test and see what we come up with. :apple:

It's likely due to Apple's sandboxing rule, preferences and save games for the Mac AppStore have to be stored inside a special container file area unlike all other stores.

I have passed on some info to the guys at Aspyr to help them investigate.

Confirmed that this does work (thanks to Edwin for providing us save games)!

Which brings me to what I think the problem is, you have to COMPLETE BL1 in order to get the special heads and skins. Have you done so?

I guess what do you men by complete? Ive completed play through 1 and reached the credits. IS there some challenge in BL1 that I need to do?

How are you getting this to work? Are you moving the BL1 save files into the BL2 save file directory?

It just works automatically as long as your completed save game is still available and in the same user account as the game you are trying to play.

Ah, I know whats happening here. You need to empty your profile.bin file within your BL2 saves folder so that BL2 thinks its the first time you are launching the game. Just pull that folder out, then BL2 will go looking for your BL1 save game and give you the skins. Then you can put your profile.bin back in.

If you need a walkthrough, ping us at support.aspyr.com and speak to Lucy (she is the one who figured it out).

Thanks. Maybe just easier to use a game editor in this case.

Any word on a Pre-Sequel release for Mac?
