Bose QC35 Wired Mode

I plugged in my QC35 using the included wire and realized that the sound cuts in and out unless I remove the wire a few mm out or else if it's completely inserted inside it cuts in and out and sounds like it's only getting a part of the signal or something. Is anyone else having this issue?
