Bose sounddock for iphone

anyone have this?
I've been reading how you have to place the phone in "airplane mode" for it to work or else it will read " this accessory is not compatible with the iphone"

what's the point if you can't get calls while its hooked up...

It helps prevent the static sound from the GSM radio. If you're on 3G you'll be ok. Be warned though, my origional iPhone worked great, but the 3G gives a popping noise and ultimately shuts off every 5-10 minutes.

Bose said that Apple chaned something with 2.0 and were working on a fix, but that doesn't seem to be a priority.
