I have noticed since updating that my bluetooth would always disconnect each time my computer goes to sleep and won't reconnect.
When I turn on my bluetooth, it connects and then disconnects.
I have to go to system preference each time to successfully pair/connect Mojave and sound link. This only happened after updating to Mojave.

I'm not having any issues. Mine always connects to my phone first anyway, but all I have to do is choose it from the menu on my computer.

I have exactly the same problem and I have tried the standard fixes (such as deleting the Bluetooth plist). I did a clean install of Mojave, so there should not be in any case any old parameters that are causing the problem.

NB: Bose does not offer any firmware updates for the original SoundLink Mini.

Seems like there is indeed no way to fix this. Problem still exists for me and I've tried everything that I could.
Aw well, time to invest on a new speaker I reckon.

Hi similar issue although even worse, now the Soundlink won’t even power up, connect to phone, etc. Was working fine until the moment I upgraded to Mojave’s. Can Mojave’s brick a Bluetooth speaker like this or is it just pure coincidence?

Wait until you update to Mac OS 10.15 (Catalina). My Soundlink Mini is not even recognized by Bluetooth. Looks like it is a useless product now although it was great under earlier versions of the Mac OS. It is hard for me to believe that a system update would interrupt Bluetooth to such an extent. Or that Bose can't/won't provide a fix for this.

One way I use to keep my BT headsets connected is to play a 5 hour iTunes playlist after connection with the audi ovolume set to zero..
You'll get a message from iTunes saying " iTunes Audio volume is zero etc. : but you can dismiss that the next time it pops up,
