My Macbook running OS X 10.7.5, recognizes the Bose speaker (SoundLink Mini -Bluetooth) but does not connect. The speaker & Macbook are discoverable. Any ideas on how to pair them?

From my experience there have been a lot of issues with the bluetooth connection. I bought a Bose soundlink II and had the same issue. You can change the bluetooth strength signal using terminal commands. Although I found the problem still existed. I have a 2010 macbook pro. I think there is an uncompability with older bluetooth hardware. Consequently, I took the soundlink back and got just the classic Bose sound dock without the bluetooth features. Goodluck
