Anyone going to the Boston Marathon to watch or to run.

My sister is running in it so I am going up to Boston to watch.

Its pretty cool though, they are have GPS type things that will txt message me, my dad, and her boyfriend 1/4 way, 1/2 way, 3/4 way, and when she finishes.

(I'm bored)

Uhh, as much as I admire the athletes (and I know a few people running) I hate the marathon. Can't get anywhere! Hardly even worth having the day off!

Haha. I can't see how people can RUN 26 miles!

One of my teachers at school has run 53 marathons...he did the boston marathon a good number of times.

I can't see how people can even dream of running 26 miles at once...

It was next on my list - I qualified in Big Sur last year, but effed my back up.

Would have been my 13th. :(

Did you qualify for Boston? That's pretty impressive. Hopefully I'll have time to train with intervals next year. This year is just about maintaining form and health. I'm thinking long term.

Yeah, with the help of a couple Vicodin for my back.

I'm 40 pounds heavier and probably couldn't run 3 miles a year later. Fracking back- I do really need to get to the gym and get myself back together.

so who the hell would watch this over the red sox game?

I mean comeon Ortiz just hit a homerun, what is better than that?

Marathon?

It's a beatiful day outside(now that the sun has finally come out). Why would I "watch" anything when I could do something instead? Yeah, and what am I "doing" online right now?
