Hi.
I recently purchased the Unibody 15" MBP, and am utterly satisfied with the laptop. It is amazing. No dead pixels, everything is great, except for one thing I noticed today. The bottom casing of the MBP (towards the rear) is held on by four small screws, and upon examining, Ive noticed that the casing is very loose, and that only 1 out of the four screws is actually threaded into anything. I attempted to use a small screwdriver to see if they just needed to be tightened, but the just spin and spin. It takes very little force for me to pull off the back left corner.
I do have applecare, and purchased it less than 2 weeks ago, so should I just bring it into my nearest Apple Store and see what they can do? What are the chances of them just replacing the screws, or even just switching the laptop out. Id prefer them to just fix the screws on this one, as I am not sure how Apple would go about relocating all my information to a new one. Would they simply switch the HDD?
Thanks in advance.
Edit:
Ive tried calling my nearest Apple Store (Mission Viejo) and havent gotten them to even pick up the phone.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
