HI - I have been having problems with the betas of High Sierra where I get tearing in the bottom third of my 2017 MBP screen. Although there has been some discussion about the tearing, I need to know whether there is a problem with the laptop. I did do a hardware test and it was fine, so I do think that it is a beta issue - fair enough.

As I see it my only option is to do a clean install back to Sierra. Thing is I updated the file system to APFS which means that I can’t use SuperDuper or TimeMachine.

So I am looking for advice how best to copy files that I need: all my apps and related files and my home folder, plus some files in the system folder.

Thanks!

I have sorted it - started from scratch. So far no screen tearing!
