Bought 13 inch retina...question about options if Haswell comes out soon

So bought a 13 inch retina today. I bought at Best Buy because I'm Silver Elite there so I have 60 day return policy with no restocking fee.

My assumption is that Haswell is around the corner, and I'll return this and upgrade. My question having never used macs before, is will the Time Machine function really make it that easy for me to use this computer for possibly 59 days and then pick up where I left off on new hardware?

Oh yeah, we just returned a refurb for a new 13" MBPr last week, just set up the new one from the TM back up and 30mins later it was exactly the same as the refurb we sent back.
