I just ordered from the Mac Store a Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.26GHz with 2gb ram and 160gb HD.

I also ordered from amazon:
1) Intel X25M 160GB Mainstream Solid State Drive SSDSA2MH160G2C1 and
2) Crucial CT2KIT25664BC1067 4GB 204-PIN PC3-8500 SODIMM DDR3 Memory KIT (2GBx2)

Will the SSD and ram be easy to replace?

Congrats I hope you enjoy it.
It's very easy to replace for Ram just follow http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1270
Hard drive http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3419

Thanks MadGoat,

I guess the instructions are basically the same for the 13" as the 17".

Once replaced, just stick in the the software cd...and good to go...

Should be similar (but still easy) I only have experience with the 17

The 13" MBP sucks.

Well Corrode, you sound like quite the a$$hole... not only didnt you reply to my previous post about making this purschase, in this one you didnt answer the question I asked.

You need to learn to keep your trap shut especially when you have nothing usefull to contribute.

To everyone else, thank you for your advice and positive feedback.

OP: He was making a joke, don't take offense. Shambo is the idiot who runs around talking about his "bad boy pro 15," insulting people who buy 13" MBP and makes the lot of us sound mad.

Gratz on your purchase, it should fly with the SSD.

Chill chill. Wtf do you think I would say the 13" MBP sucks? I love this thing. Check my sig. Since you seem to be rather new to the forum, feel free to browse these threads:

This is a really good place to come & get great Mac advice. You'll find that most of the regulars & old timers will give you sound advice.

You've got a really good set up for a first starter. Just take your time with the install and use a good precision screw driver set. The most part was taking out the screws without scratching the cover. work on an open space, solid table with a bath towel or something soft to lay the lap top on. Ground yourself before touching anything on the computer. You tube will be of help or apple support page. Good luck & welcome to the club. :apple:
