so far, service has been excellent. i ordered it around 2pm this afternoon and chose the next business day delivery for $11.50. total price came out to be $110.50. not bad AT ALL!!!! i just received the tracking number a couple of hours ago.

i should receive it tomorrow and will let everyone know how it works out.

I just bought a 1 gig stick from DataMem for my 17 inch and it works great. It was shipped UPS ground and got here in a couple days.

I paid $92 for mine though ($99 if you count shipping).

Datamem has been my preferred memory vendor for the past six years. Have had great luck with them. While their prices aren't rock-bottom, I have only received a couple of bad DIMMs from them out of hundreds and hundreds of modules bought from them, and their exchange policy is efficient and painless.

Wow-- that place is a lot cheaper than Crucial-- a 1 Gig stick for my ibook is $129 there; its more like $160 at Crucial. Can anyone else recommend Datamem?

just an update...

my current uptime on my powerbook is 19 days and counting. this memory has worked GREAT! one exception is iTunes crashed without any reason a day or two after i installed the memory. however, i honestly believe it was a fluke because i have not had ANY problems since. go Datamem!
