Bought a Apple Lightning to USB Cable (1 m)

I just ordered a Lightning USB Cable to Apple Store for $19.00. I expected a soft textured cable like the one that came with my iPhone 5s Box before, But i received a Hard textured cable is this Normal or did they just changed the cable/cord? or did i just get a Fake Charging lightning cable?
