I thought songs purchased from iTunes were stuck in .m4a format?

I bought an album this afternoon on my touch. Just moved it over to my computer and was able to right-click, convert to mp3.

I didn't think that was supposed to work?

Running iTunes 7 on Leopard. Touch is 1.1.2 (jailbroken)

No, Plus is an option for this album (Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt).

Only charged me 9.99.

It doesn't matter, all iTunes tracks are in AAC format, Plus or not. That's very strange that you found an mp3.

The issue isn't that it was an MP3, as I understood, but rather that it allowed for converting the AAC to MP3. This is normally blocked for songs with DRM, but if it was iTunes Plus it would make sense to work fine.

Yes, i downloaded the AAC track but was able to convert to mp3.

It shows as 256kbps, so I guess I turned on Plus and just forgot.
