Bought an iPad Air 2

128gb Wifi on Black Friday at Bestbuy.com for $375. Couldn't turn it down. First iPad since the 1st gen I received for my birthday 6 years ago. It's been mostly used as a Netflix/lite gaming tablet for my daughter for the past few years so an update was in order.
Any suggestions for an affordable, but good, case? I'm excited and want to take care of this thing!

Thank you for the suggestions. I found a Fintie that actually matches the Kindle case my wife got me so I think I will go with that. I'm excited to see how different the Air 2 is to the 1st gen.

Congrats on your purchase. The difference will be huge. The screen is better, the performance is much better, and it weighs a lot less. Have fun!

For my phones and iPads, no. But for the kids, it's necessary. The ones I use are tempered glass by "amfilm", and they're really nice:

I prefer no screen protector as well but my parents also got an Air 2 (their first iDevice) and weren't sure how needed it is.

You can get the Logitech Hinge for the Air 2 off Ebay new for less than $15... very well made case but it does add a bit of bulk to the Air 2.

I would suggest you check out smart case by Finite. They are good. I had them on my LG G Pad tablet and iPad Air 2. Good price.

I use a stylus with my Air 2 for sketching so I have to have a screen protector. They've saved my screen so many times.
