Hello everyone,

I’ve bought an iPhone 13 (online) at an European electronics store.

The box looks kinda dirty and there clearly used to be a sticker at the bottom right. I know this chain sometimes sells phones that have been opened and returned at a discount (not enough to be worth it imo). These opened boxes have a sticker with the phrase “I’ve been opened” on it and I think that’s wat used to be on this box.

However the box seems sealed, and I haven’t opened it yet. But when I enter the serial number in the Support app it shows this:

AD7153FC-31EB-4020-B275-EED201DE2194.jpeg

It’s in Dutch (sorry!)
But at the top it states the coverages expires in October.
Is this a sign this device has been activated before?

Or am I just a bit paranoid?

Thanks!

The warranty usually starts from the date of purchase, so it sounds like someone else may have purchased it before. It doesn't necessarily mean they used it though. As for the seals, they should be the new pull tabs at the seams (and not shrink wrapped). Is that how your box is sealed?

If you keep the phone, you might be able to contact Apple to have the purchase date reset if you have all the necessary info.
