And I am planning on upgrading to the 6s+

Can i get the year left moved to my new phone?
Or get credit towards new applecare for my 6s+?

How does that work?

If you haven't used any of the accidental damage incidents, Apple should refund you for the remainder of your AppleCare, minus a processing fee, if you give them a call.

You can either include it in the package when you sell the phone, or you can reach out to the AppleCare Support Team and they will refund you a prorated amount depending on how much AppleCare+ you have left. You would not be able to transfer it over to a new phone since it is tied to the device that it was purchased with.

Thanks, I am selling it to Amazon, I won't get anymore with or without Applecare.
Glad I can get a partial refund.
