I bought several cables via eBay.
On the cables states Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China. Do you see that on your cables?
They came bulk packaged (only the clear sleeve, no box)

When the cables arrived they do not show this.

I plugged one in and see message:
This accessory may not be supported.

I have iPhone 5s running 8.4.1

The eBay listing stated in title:
New OEM Authentic Original Apple iPhone 5 6 6s 6plus Lightning USB Cable Charger

I liked the words authentic original and thought I got the real deal. Have I been duped?

I typically get the oem stuff from a4c.com. Bought both cables and headphones from them.

All checks out ok except for no Design by Apple... Text.

The guy is giving me a return label, but I still feel eBay should know about it.
I don't know if I'll be able to leave feedback for the transaction.

Their are 100,000+ fake lighting cables on ebay. They couldn't care less. File a claim and get your money back. Only buy from reputable sources. Bulk packaging = fake.
