My iPad screen has one dead pixel and one stuck pixel. It was purchased back in July at an Apple store. Can I still ask for a refurb?

I learned here that even only one dead pixel can be an enough reason for a swap despite Apple's guideline of more than three damaged pixels. Therefore, my question now is about the 'return period' rather than how many damaged pixels or not.

To tell the truth, I would most likely keep my iPad and avoid all the hassle of getting it returned. But, I am curious whether I still have an option or not.

You have a 1 year limited warranty on your iPad, and since the iPad was released on April 3rd, 2010, we (current iPad owners) are all still under warranty.
