bought iPhone 6 from staples, trade in 5s to verizon?

Hey,

Just bought an iPhone 6 64 GB Space Grey today from Staples. I was wondering whether it was possible to trade in my iPhone 5S to a Verizon Wireless store (I believe it's $300 credit)? Or do I need to buy the iPhone 6 directly from Verizon Wireless.
