Bought Mac Pro, delivery in june

Yesterday, May 11, i bought a brand new mac pro. Basic configuration adding just wireless keyboard/mouse and ATI x1900 as videocard. I received the confirmation email and... surprise! Expected shipment date by the end of may and on my office for 2 - 6 of june.
I live in Italy so i used the Italian Apple store.

Anyone know why this loooooong shipping date?

I noticed that AMD/ATI will release on Monday, May 14th the new R600 / HD 2900 videocard. I also noticed here that apple will equip the mac pro with this videocard. Should i expect a surprise or...??

Think about cancelling your order, you don't want to receive your Mac Pro only for it to be outdated in 9 days at WWDC

Any customised order placed on apple store Italy ships form China, so is delivered on 12-15 days...I received my macbook after 20 days. That's not a strong signal of a new coming update...


Credo che siano i tempi comuni per qualsiasi mac con configurazione non standard. Io ho preso un macbook aggiungendo solo 512 di ram che diceva disponibile entro 3 giorni e l'ho avuto a casa solo dopo 20 giorni. Il fatto é che tutte le ordinazioni non custom vengono assemblate e spedite dalla China.
Non é quindi detto che il ritardo sia dovuto ad un aggiornamento delle macchine.
