As soon as I got it I looked up the serial number that was on the box at the Apple website. To my suprised it said my MBP is covered till October 13th, 2011!

Is this because of the faulity graphic cards? I read that apple extended the warranty on the card only. The seller did not say anything about including AppleCare and warranty info was not given.

It was shipped from Canada and the writings on the box has French(?) translation if that means anything.

I'm pretty sure that when purchased with a Higher Education Discount, you get the warranty increased to 3 years free of charge. Maybe they did that?

No apple care comes for extra 280 instead of 400$ without discount.

This laptop was sealed brand new.
So I re-read everything on the item page and at the end it said this:

SYSTEM IS COVERED BY A FULL APPLE WARRANTY, EXPIRES SEPTEMBER 23TH 2009

It does not match with Apples warranty info.

I'm wondering if this is something that apple offers to Canada buyers? I also bought a macbook pro that was described as having 1 year warranty.. but when i looked on the apple site, it had 3!!! :D
