just picked up the OCZ SSD off ebay last night

i got the series 1 64gb but i was reading that series 2 has "improved architecture and a USB port for updating firmware"

any opinions on whether version 1 or 2 is better - in bettter i mean speed and reliability

..keep in mind the version 2 would have cost me about $130 more

I have already done research i read about the random hang ups etc but for the price i couldn t pass it up!

I don't know anything about version 1 or 2, but I do know that these drives have tremendous performance issues. see this article: link

I assume Version 2 is supposed to fix the problems of Version 1, but I haven't the slightest clue. Regardless, a regular hard drive is a much better idea than these. If you must have an SSD, save up for the Intel X25 M, either that or go with a regular hard drive.
