Bought the tickets, but they're not showing up in Passbook. Do I have to add them manually or are they automatically transferred over?

The venue has to support it. If you see a mobile barcode in the app it can be added to Passbook. If it just displays your order number you must actually print the tickets.

Thanks for the answer. That absolutely sucks that not only does the app have to support Passbook, then the specific venue has to support it.

I agree, but the venue must have an optical barcode scanner or use a barcode scanning app in order for it to work properly. Laser scanners are horrible at reading barcodes from a screen. It would not be a good experience if Ticketmaster let customers add everything to Passbook, only for them to get to the venue and the scanner not work.

You're using the ticket master app? Or did you buy them online?

Yeah, I bought them through the iPhone app.

I did this a couple of weeks ago, went to a show and all I had was the PDF attachment on the email. Tickets were also bought through Ticketmaster.

So I had the PDF, barcode was inside and they scanned it just fine. The staff there also didn't complain or anything about me giving them the phone instead of a printout, so I assume they've done it before.

With the Retina displays, the barcodes should be just fine to read.
