I ordered two used Apple Pencil’s from the UK retailer CeX. £55 each, ‘grade B’, so light scratches, no adapter but fully functioning and with a 24 month warranty. One for me, one for my girlfriend. We’re both using iPad Air 3’s, so 10.5“ stunning laminated display with the wide colour gamut to embrace.

I wanted it as for some apps, like the CAD tool Shapr3D, which I want to get into as a replacement for my SketchUp hobby back when I had a Mac, require it for the interface / workflow to truly be intuitive.

The colouring app Pigment is quite nice, I’ve used the free trial as has my gf but the annual / monthly cost is way too much for Colouring. Anybody found a similar quality alternative to this That the pencil works great with?

I also plan on buying Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer, again just for fun, no professional demand so I can draw vector drawings and make posters / designs up as a hobby. I think the Pencil will work great here too. I have the licenses for Mac but it’s a shame I can’t sell them to buy the iOS versions!

What are your favourite Apple Pencil apps and uses? These are coming any day this week, can’t wait to get drawing!

Thanks guys, what a tool! So handy for annotating even the simplest of things like Photos!
