A friend purchased an unlocked iPhone 4 directly from Apple to use with his old network - T-Mobile, but we're having issues transferring his contacts from his SIM card to the iPhone.
We saved his contacts from his Nokia 6230i to his SIM card but once we put the same SIM card into his iPhone and went into "Settings -> Contacts -> Import Contacts from SIM Card" it said "Importing" for a brief moment but the contacts simply would not import.
Everything else works fine - yes, we got the SIM card cut into a micro-SIM and have an adapter if we use it again in the Nokia phone. The contacts work in Nokia from the SIM just fine. We've also tried getting a brand new SIM from T-Mobile and having the contacts transferred to it, but no luck. The contacts do show up fine on the Nokia, just not the iPhone.
I've helped a few people w/ importing contacts from their SIM card before and have never had this issue before. We have always been able to import the contacts from the SIM card on to the iPhone.
What gives?
