I have recently bought a used 2007 pre unibody macbook on my local classifieds for $80. My main machine is a 2005 2ghz Imac powerpc G5, and It has lasted me since i got it in 2010. The macbook has a dead battery (needs to be plugged in to work) and some of the keys do not work on its keyboard. Is the cost of a new battery and keyboard worth it? Is this machine a significant upgrade from my current daily machine? I was also thinking of upgrading the Ram and Hard drive.

Macbook specs are;

2.2 GHZ intel core 2 duo
2 GB DDR2 SDRam
Intel gma X3100

My imac specs

2 GHZ PowerPc G5
2 GB DDR SDRam
ATI Radeon9600.

To recap, are the repairs and upgrades worth it? Or am I better off getting a new computer. Thank you to all

Since you only spent $80 on it it is probably worthwhile. Even if you don't use it you can sell it and make your money back.
