I posted this in the applications forum and they said it's probably a hardware issue and I should return the machine. What do you guys think?

Basically whenever I scroll in Firefox or Safari (both latest versions), the image looks something like this:

Do you think this is a hardware issue? Also sometimes I'll click firefox in the dock and it won't even come up. I have to click is several times. Not sure if that's the same issue or something else. Should I just bring it in and show the Mac people at the genius bar?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Seems more like a rendering issue to me, like he page isn't properly being displayed. If it were a hardware issue, you would have those lines all the way across the screen.

It would be good to take it to a genius, they'll be able to surely tell you if its a hardware thing. Some things you can do to see if this clears up is reinstalling OSX and firefox.
