Hey Guys,

Just bought a base model 21.5 inch iMac yesterday, thought all was well at first. Virtually no yellow tint, no funny buzzing or noises. Overall was impressed.

I went to plug a USB Hard disc in the back earlier and when the USB connector was about half an inch from the mac of the case it started sparking and conducting between the two and when i touched the case it gave me a jolt.

Tested it again later on, this happens everywhere on the back if you drag the connector around. Has anyone else seen this? Anybody agree it would be wise to take it back to the store? They have a guaranteed refund or replacement policy for 28 days.

Peace and Love :apple:

If it were me, I would take it back, just to see what the problem may be and get it fixed. If you are getting a shock of any type from the case, I gotta think that is a bad situation. Maybe something is not grounded properly, but I am only guessing there.
