Just got this thing yesterday. Tonight it won't charge unless I wiggle the cable. Tried the cable it came with and an Amazon cable. Returning tomorrow.

How likely is my replacement to have this issue? I don't want to keep going through phones if this is a prevailing problem.

Did the replacement device come from Apple? If so, I would just have it replaced as it's under warranty. But as Gathomblipoob stated, make sure there is nothing embedded in the lightning port.

Oh yes, trust me, I'm no stranger to cleaning my iPhone 5's port.

lol!

I've had iPhones with very snug charging ports tho my 6+ was pretty loose - I could wiggle the cable around while it was connected - but it would charge so I just ignored it for the life of the phone (1.7 years+). My 6s+ is back to normal.

So, in my experience, you should get a replacement with a tighter charging port.

Well I figured it out. Super embarrassing. The extension cord that powers my charger was coming out of the wall. It just happened to behave like the Lightning port wasn't making full contact.

Carry on...
