Hi everyone,
Just received my new Apple Watch today. For some reason the heart rate sensors came on while my watch was laying flat on a table. I walked away from the watch for several hours, came back, and saw the lights on. I put it on, the lights stayed on. I checked my heart rate and they stayed on after that. The only way I could turn them off was to power cycle the watch.

Thoughts?

Coming from a Stainless Watch owner, I have not seen this before. Maybe a glitch through a reset? I do know the Watch has a setting where it checks the heart hourly I believe? But, the heart rate sensor only is active when it detects it's attached to your wrist. So, I think your Watch has some issue in the sensor.

Having worn my watch for a year, I can't say I've seen this issue either! I suggest you ask Apple, before reformatting and so on, to save any undue hassle.
