brand new imac 27 fan problem

i have a BRAND NEW imac that havent even taken off the clear plastic on the screen yet. when i turned on the computer the screen went from white to blue. as soon as that happened the fans when to the highest settings. i couldnt even hear the little video playing. i left it on for about 45 min to see if it would die down, but it didnt. so i restarted it and it hasent happend since. well i downloaded the i stat widget and noticed that most of the sensors are jumping about 4 to 5 degrees every 5 to 30 seconds. for example the gpu diode jumps from 97 to 103 degrees every 5 to 30 seconds. its not looking good for this brand new computer. i also have a video of both things happening ill post them later

I think that you might have gotten an iMac with defective hardware. Call Apple and see if they can resolve the problem for you. If not, they may send you a replacement. You can also ask for a refund.
