Hi,

I just got a brand new iphone 5 and the battery life is really struggling for some reason. I took it out of the box and synced it an charged it to full. Last night I went to sleep with 100% and woke up 7 hours later with only 20% with no use. I had all my apps closed. Blue tooth was off too. I have had to charge it basically all day today too. Any help would be much appreciated before I try to deal with apple or getting a new phone.

Usually 'dealing' with Apple is pleasant and easy.

You might try doing a few full-cycle (0% to 100%) charges to calibrate the battery. If that doesn't help, I suggest you return it & get a new phone.:D

I'm guessing you're wasting your time trying to troubleshoot. That is not even close to what it should be. Either go to the Apple store and get a replacement or exchange it where you bought it.

ok thanks.

I'm not near an apple store so I'll have to see what they say and do a mail return.
