So me and my sister just got new iPhones (4) for Verizon. I noticed though that my iPhone has laggier animations while my sister's is smooth. Example of this is when you open the "utilities" folder. Mine will lag while closing it while my sister's won't. We are both on 4.2.8 (latest). All apps were closed prior to testing.

What's going on here? I feel like my iPhone has some kind of OS bug. Any fixes?

WEIRD ISSUE:

I FIGURED OUT WHAT'S GOING ON.

PLEASE TEST THIS FOR ME:

Put a "folder" on the top of the screen (ex. "Utilities"). Now open it. No lag.

Now, take the folder and switch it to the bottom of the screen. Boom, lag.

Weird, huh?

maybe yours is using more RAM then your sister, do you have more apps in the multitask bar?

No, they were all closed prior to testing. She has 2x as many apps and music also. I have 4 downloaded, she has 8.

I have 70 songs, she has 940.

quit moaning

Since its new, try a full restore and set it up as new, think sync your stuff back. If that does not do it then off to the apple store you go.

I think this has been commented on before, it's not really lag so much as it is sloppy animation. As far as I remember the only fix is to keep folders off the bottom row.

haha, i noticed it too. when i put folders at the top, it's smooth, but at the bottom is a bit choppy.

but not that much though.
