My brand new touch wont turn on. I called Apple and they don't know what's wrong with it. Does anybody know what to do?

Try plugging it into your computer. Also PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON, don't just press it. If none of that works try holding the power and the home button at the same time for about 10 seconds (maybe more) hope this helps!

Depending on how long that unit has been on the shelf, you may need to charge it for some time before you can connect it to your computer and set it up. First make sure you have iTunes 8.2, then use the provided connector cable to hook it up to the USB 2.0 port on your computer. Do not use the front USB ports or the ports on a keyboard, depending on the manufacturer if its not a Mac those may be USB 1.0 or 1.1, which will not provide the necessary power nor data speed for the iPod to function correctly. Resetting an iPod really doesn't do much of anything if it hasn't already been set up at some point.

If you have a wall adapter you can try plugging it in to the wall. That will give it more juice if the battery is in fact dead.

Otherwise, you're going to have to set up a genuis appointment and get it replaced. Or if you purchased it from bestbuy/walmart you could probably go exchange there as long as you just bought it.
