I was in the Apple Store today and was looking at the air's and the sign said 80gb hd, core 2 duo, 2gb ddr3 ram, 13.3 inch led display $1149! I asked the Apple guy and he said that they are brand new and Apple will npw always be selling that model for $1149!

That's a rev A. MacBook Air with the crappy shutty-downy processors, crappy Intel integrated graphics and the 80GB HDD.

The rev B. MacBook Air is a much better machine, for that price you may as well get a new MacBook.

Yep, I agree, having both.

Ugh. Why is this MBA forums full of MBA *haters*??

The RevA MacBook is good for general users - there's not a lot that it won't do (obviously HD Video and super processor intensive stuff is not what the Air is built for...)

The new AL MacBook has an absolutely *crap* screen - 6-bit, washed-out colours - in short: garbage. The MacBook Air RevA's Screen is an LED delight (and I say that as not a fan of Glossy LCDs).

I have had a Rev. A Macbook Air for a month now to supplement my iMac. There is nothing wrong with it, and is perfect for my general use. Oh yeah, one other thing, the Macbook Air screen blows away the screen of the current Macbook. Just compare them side by side.

Of course, if you are amongst the lucky ones to get a line or flicker-free screen.

I am holding out for a rev b., for the record, and plan to pick one up as soon as the screen issue is resolved.
