Hi everyone,
Today I received my brand-new Macbook Pro 16" - it's the 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 edition with 16GB RAM.
While installing a few programs earlier the Mac just randomly shut down and restarted - before it happened, the fans sounded as though they were roaring up to "full throttle" before it went dead completely and restarted. I've just upgraded from a 2015 13" Retina Macbook Pro and have only installed apps which worked fine on my old laptop. I find it hard to believe a brand new Macbook Pro would be running into these issues - does anyone have any suggestions? I've pasted the last error message below. The one before this said something different - I only caught a quick glimpse, but it started with panic (cpu caller 0xffffffffff107593dc): x86 CATERRA detected
I'm at a bit of a loss of what to do, as I'm not running overly intensive tasks ( I didn't think - Google Backup & Sync is all I can really think it may be, but that ran fine on my old Mac with much worse specs!
Oh, I should also point out the Mac is updated and running Catalina 10.15.5
Thanks in advance
