Hi guys

just like the title says my brand new macbook pro's battery after calibration shows only 98% using coconut and istat pro. It shows it has 4517mah instead of the factory 4600. Should I be worried or am I being too paranoid.

Thanks!

Not sure if this helps, but I fully drained my battery and then it would only recharge to 99% after being plugged in overnight. I just used it as normal and now it charges back to 100%. I haven't run those apps so I can't comment on the stats.

Not sure if that helps, but I know ****-all about batteries. I thought my experience may shed some light on it.

your health will fluctuate with use. just be sure to condition your battery per apple instructions and it should be fine.

My MBP that I just got today has the exact SAME problem and the cycle count says 2.

I dont know if this helps but it looks like the more often you use the battery, the higher health it will get. My 15'' Macbook Pro built-in battery has 49 loads cycle with 100% heath. I almost charge it everyday. But my friend's 13'' Macbook Pro only has a 7 loads cycle with a health of 96% and he barely use his battery :)
