So my laptop is currently at 11% it shows as if it's charging but it's not... it's been like this for the past hour or so & every now and then it turns into "not charging"

I tried a different charger from my other macbook and it does the same thing...

is it my battery?

btw I disconnected it few times and now it's charging again.... da ****...

are you using it heavily? The new MBPs use a lot of power under full load, so that the charger can not provide extra power to charge the battery while the laptop is running.

Could just be a tiny software bug or something. If it persists go to a store and ask someone but if i were you i'd just restart the device, remove the battery etc and it should work after

I tried everything and it's still not working...

it goes from (calculating..) to "not charging"

And they will replace it...Take all your important stuff off first before you go. Hope you have more luck with the new one.

ugh :(

I got it online though... so I guess if they have to replace it I'd have to do the return online AGAIN. ugh :(

Apple does not say that anywhere.

This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:

thank you... but that doesn't tell me why my battery is acting up..

JUST AN UPDATE ABOUT THIS ISSUE : after a while of me just plugging/unplugging eventually it just started charging again without a problem....

I usually keep it plugged at night but I unplugged it tonight to see if maybe plugging it too long is causing the problem..

It's not a problem to leave it plugged in overnight or even days at a time. The fact that it started charging after plugging/unplugging suggests that your MagSafe connection isn't secure. Make sure the connector and port are clean. In the FAQ, read the link for troubleshooting MagSafe adapters.

hmm thanks ill look that up.. although I don't think it is the adapter because I tried another macbook adapter I had and it still didn't charge while the problem was happening...

I think something is wrong with the laptop itself..

I had the same problem tonight. searched google. and this helped:
I pull the magsafe adapter from the wall and let it be disconnected for 1 minute. then I connected it and it was charging again! very weird. never been happened to me before.
I also saw this:
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1474
but when I checked for the available updates, it did not list this one. and it wasn't installed before when I checked the system prefs. I'm not sure if I need to install this update. It is said system requirements: 10.7.2 and I have 10.7.2
I don't know. maybe if it happened again and plugging it out, did not solve the problem, I'll try installing this update.

This didn't do it

Cute, someone suggested you remove the battery.

Here is your issue:

I also have this same problem. Last night everything was fine but when I woke up this morning same as other say: Green light on power magnet is on, went into my "About This Mac" to the System info and it said: Battery installed "NO"
Charging "NO"

Downloaded your link still nothing, tried unplugging several times same thing, NOTHING
