So I just bought a Macbook (OS X version 10.5.7) with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor a couple days ago. This is my first mac, so I'm not very familiar as far as the layout goes, but I'm getting the hang of it.
My wireless connection running on Airport, though, is having problems despite having full connectivity. Sometimes pages will load at normal speeds, sometimes they'll load extremely slow, and still other times they won't even finish loading (usually the latter two).
I'm convinced that this has nothing to do with anything external, like the linksys wireless router since other laptops (PCs) run excellent using the same WEP key.
I've searched around the internet for solutions and it seems other people who updated their macs to 10.5.7 have this as a common problem (yet the solutions I've found don't help me, since they're ethernet related, involve reversing updates, etc.)
No diagnostic problems appear when I check under system preferences.
And I'm not quite tech savvy either, so terms like "DNS" and "IPv6" don't mean much to me.
Anyone willing to steer me in the right direction? Because right now I'm definitely not getting the bang for my buck. Thanks in advance!
