Brand new MBP [problems]

Just got my Macbook Pro 2 days ago. I love it, except recently I've encountered this problem: http://img244.imageshack.us/my.php?image=photoxc6.jpg

I read something on the forums about the control+shift+eject quickfix (which worked) but still this worries me. What exactly is causing it? Is it the graphics card, firmware, a bug? Thanks for your help.

Ctrl+Shft+Eject changes the display, so we can't help you if we don't know what's going on.

It's only happened once. You mean take it to an Apple Store and get it fixed?

Since it is only 2 days old, Apple should replace it with a brand new system.

I don't understand what is exactly causing the problem. What if the vertical stripe issue is affecting all the mbp notebooks? I don't want to trade mine in unless absolutely neccessary because I already spent hours setting it up / customizing it.

Also, I have AppleCare, so is there any harm in waiting?

Some 8600's are about as much use as a chocolate kettle mate, I'd take that back right away.

Ask them for some cheese while your there too.
