Hello, recently a computer I am supporting has been giving "USB Overcurrent Notice" errors. Not just a few, but constant errors. It seems that these errors are talking about the USB ports on the Apple Display that is connected to this G4 (Model M7649). When I unplug all USB devices, the errors are still there, and when I plug in a different monitor, the errors go away.
I have found the pinouts of the ADC here:
http://pinouts.ru/Video/apple_adc_pinout.shtml
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Display_Connector
So my question is, if I break the pins that have to do with USB (21-23), will the monitor still function correctly, just without USB? I'd like to know before I go ruin this monitor.
Thanks.
