is anyone aware of a way to break up your itunes library into a fixed-size playlist (other than maybe manually doing it). i would love to get my 10,000 song library broken up into 200 song playlists. i'm hopeful for a way to do this not manually 50 times.

reason for is: http://groovylists.com/

thanks in advance...

Yes, can do it this way:

1) Create a smart playlist, call it for example List1
2) Uncheck the "Match the following rule" box
3) Check the "Limit to 200 selected at Random" box
4) Uncheck Live Updating

This will create a smart playlist called List1 that contains 200 songs.

Now do the following

5) Create a playlist folder called Lists and place List1 in it.

Now we have to create the remaining lists, so repeat the following as many times as necessary

6) Create a smart playlist, call it for example List2 (or List 3, List 4, etc)
7) Set Match the following rule to "Playlist is not Lists"
8) Check the "Limit to 200 selected at Random" box
9) Uncheck Live Updating

10) Once the playlist is created, move to the Lists folder.

ah, i missed that line.

this sounds theoretically very possible and awesome. thanks :) gonna try it once i get through this next exam...
